One of the area’s longstanding community gatherings. Local leaders, business owners, and residents connect over dinner in a historic setting.


February 12–15

Valdosta Mardi Gras Festival

Location: Downtown Valdosta & Unity Park

  • Parade
  • Live music
  • Food trucks
  • 5K race
  • Family activities

This is the headline event of the month. If you’re new to the area, this is one of the best ways to experience the energy of downtown Valdosta.


February 13

Night to Shine

Location: Lowndes County High Cafetorium

A prom-style event honoring individuals with special needs. One of the most meaningful community events of the year.


February 14

Blazin’ LOVE 5K

Location: Valdosta

Valentine’s Day 5K through scenic city routes. Whether you run competitively or just want a themed experience, this one fills quickly.


All Month

Love Downtown Valdosta

Spend $25 at participating downtown businesses and enter to win a $200 shopping spree. A strong reason to support local shops and restaurants throughout February.
